Welcome back, it’s so good to see you!
We just wanted to let you know a few changes we have made, which we hope you’ll find reassuring, so here’s a little summary, with our customers and our teams safety at heart.
Much as we could all do with a hug, please respect yours and others personal space by maintaining a social distance where possible.
As you will have discovered on your way in, we’re asking customers to wait at the door for a member of staff to take you to your table, and to sanitise your hands on the way into the clubhouse. The reason for this is so we can take the time to explain how things work and to also keep an eye on the number of people we have inside at any one time. This is also the reason why we’re encouraging bookings, even just for a drink or bar snack at the moment.
We also need to ask each party for contact details to adhere to the Government guidelines, which we may need to share with NHS Test and Trace. Rest assured, these details will be stored safely and not used for any other purpose. They will be destroyed after 21 days.
Also, a little reminder and we’d appreciate your support in adhering to the current Government rule that indoor gatherings should be in groups of up to 2 households (including support bubbles). From Monday 14th September indoor gatherings are restricted to maximum of 6 people, any number of households. Outside gatherings of 6 people or less can be from any number of households. Thanks for playing your part in helping us manage this to keep everyone safe.
We want to reassure you that there is regular cleaning going on in our facility. All our team will be washing their hands every twenty minutes and sanitising ‘touch points’ every half hour. The tables and backs of chairs will be cleaned after each customer. At every step, we’ll be following the highest of cleaning standards throughout the clubhouse and in the kitchen. The whole building has been professionally sanitised each month by a company called Mediclean.
Service at Table
We’ll do our utmost to keep a safe distance where possible when taking orders and serving your table. You’ll notice some changes to the way we’re laying tables. To reduce ‘contact’ with cutlery, we’re placing the knives, forks and napkins on trays and placing them on your table. The same goes for the salt and pepper pots and vinegar, which will be cleaned after every use.
How to Order
Drinking or dining? A member of the team will happily look after you at your table and will bring your food and drinks over to you.
Space Between Tables
We want to reassure you that care and consideration has gone into spacing the distance between the tables and positioning of the chairs.
Paper menus will be used once and recycled afterwards.
Much as life revolves around the bar, please resist the temptation to pop to the bar, we’ll look after you at the table.
To reduce the handling of cash we kindly ask you to use contactless wherever possible but if you do need to input your code on the card machine, we’ll sanitise it after every use.
The little touches (that are often touched a lot) – you may not see quite as many of them for now. Things like newspapers, magazines and leaflets – we’ve popped them away for now.
Toilets will be regularly cleaned and numbers visiting them at any one time are restricted – you may have to cross your legs for a while to wait if they’re full, please sanitise your hands afterwards.
Much as they like to, please do not let them wander. Children are welcome but for everyone’s safety please bring something to keep your children entertained at the table.
Terrace and Balcony
Our outside tables on the terrace are available to book. We respectfully ask tables aren’t moved around as they have been positioned with thought.
We do hope you find all these changes reassuring and feel free to chat anything through with any of our team.
Peter, Trish, Vivien and all the team
