Houghwood is one of the most incredible North West Wedding Venues, with our unique building and views sure to make your guests remember the most beautiful wedding they have attended.

Making sure your day is truly special depends on careful planning. Here at Houghwood we pride ourselves on offering a personal service where our staff will be on hand to give professional advice and ensure all your requirements are dealt with effeciently.

Selecting your wedding venue is one of the most difficult yet exciting decisions you will make as a couple. As a wedding venue located between St Helens and Wigan, Houghwood may suit you geographically, but its bespoke wedding service we provide that will make your wedding day special.

The Building

The building here at Houghwood is beautiful, with many newlyweds instantly falling in love with the stone brick architecture. The venue is capable of hosting the largest of wedding parties within its stunning open plan restaurant - up to 180 evening guests.

The balcony overlooking the golf course brings us onto the next consideration you should be making - you can have your entire wedding day in one place! Why not have a small civil ceremony in the Richard Valentine Lounge before your wedding party in the fairways restaurant.

The Views

Set among the hills, our beautiful wedding venue is rewarding with the most incredible views over the Lancashire plains and Welsh Hills. As the biggest day of your life passes, don’t forget to take a moment to marvel at the sunset as it falls over the golf course! The panoramic views Houghwood has to offer makes the wedding photos that bit more special.

The Food

Houghwood is renowned in the Wigan and St Helens area for its impeccable food service, your wedding day is no different. Three courses of fine dining will leave your guests yearning for more. At Houghwood we know weddings can be a long day, which is why we offer different buffet options for later in the evening.

The Exclusivity

One of the things that make Houghwood such a special wedding venue is the exclusive use guests have to the entire top floor. Your wedding will be the only one that takes place on your selected date. This will give your wedding day the relaxed feeling you're looking for as you are the only bride and groom on site. You will feel comfortable with your guests, knowing that everyone in attendance is there for you.

Houghwood is licensed to hold a Civil Wedding Ceremony on the premises if you so desire. Please see our Wedding Brochure for further details.
